Episode 59 - The Sorcerer's Apprentice
Sunday Nov 01, 2020
Sunday Nov 01, 2020
What we really wanted out of this movie was for Nic Cage to be as crazy as his hair, but, alas, we were fairly disappointed as we watched a psuedo-live-action-spiritual-remake of the Fantasia - The Sorcerer's Apprentice (2010). Listen this week as we discuss what could make this movie better. Enjoy and don't forget to vote!

Episode 60 - Season of the Witch
Sunday Nov 08, 2020
Sunday Nov 08, 2020
Welcome back friends and fans! This week, Hanna and Steve continue their "spooky season" viewing with another Nic Cage gem: Season of the Witch (2011). This movie was not great, but fun to chat about. As always, enjoy!

Episode 61 - Drive Angry
Wednesday Nov 18, 2020
Wednesday Nov 18, 2020
We made it! We did it! After a deleted file, hours of trying to recover it, and eventually re-recording, we can finally share with you our thoughts on 2011's MASTERPIECE that is Drive Angry. There is so much good in this movie...I cannot stress enough how much I love this type of flick. We pick it apart scene by scene as always, but don't let that distract you from the beauty that is this Nicolas Cage film.

Episode 62 - Seeking Justice
Sunday Nov 22, 2020
Sunday Nov 22, 2020
I'll be honest with you guys...we glossed over a lot this week. BUT that's only because there's just so much of this week's film that was utterly forgettable. January Jones was a musician? Who cares? Nicolas Cage's students are always acting up? I couldn't give two f*cks. Why do the protagonists have an incredible apartment and and a P.O.S car? Don't know/don't care. Seeking Justice (2011) is like your third kiss...at the time it was probably fine, but who even remembers now? Was that a bad analogy? Am I losing it? Enjoy the madness that is this week.

Episode 63 - Trespass
Sunday Nov 29, 2020
Sunday Nov 29, 2020
This week, we discuss Trespass (2011). A film in which Nic Cage and Nicole Kidman play victims of a home invasion. How exciting! There are twists and turns along the way...and to think...Nic almost walked away from this flick?!? What a travesty that would've been. Actually, this movie was pretty boring, BUT it has a few high quality screams!!

Episode 64 - Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance
Friday Dec 11, 2020
Friday Dec 11, 2020
We did it, guys - we made this podcast against all odds. Those odds being "what are the odds that Steve will accidentally delete half of the audio for good?" Apparently 2/64...not bad, eh? This week, we pick up where Ghost Rider 1 left off...except not at all because Ghost Rider 2 really stretches the meaning of the word sequel. There are some quality Nic Cage screams, but that's all there is really to like about this movie...JERRY JERRY JERRY!!!

Episode 65 - Stolen
Sunday Dec 13, 2020
Sunday Dec 13, 2020
In this week's movie review and recap, Nicolas Cage plays Brian Mills - an ex-CIA operative who must rescue his daughter against all odds. He has a particular set of skills...oh wait...wrong movie...the movie we watched was actually way worse than that one I was thinking of...not bad, just not good. Listen to us rant about Stolen (2012), all while 5 glasses of wine (each) deep!

Episode 66 - The Croods
Sunday Dec 20, 2020
Sunday Dec 20, 2020
Just in time for the release of The Croods 2, this week we talk about The Croods 1 (2013) where Nicolas Cage plays a caveman and father of an all-star cast. This movie looks great and probably should be great, but isn't quite there for some reason. Listen this week as we teach you all about Plato, the Medici family, and cephalopods!!

Episode 67 - The Frozen Ground
Monday Dec 28, 2020
Monday Dec 28, 2020
For the last podcast of 2020 (good riddance - AMIRITE?!?!), Hanna and Steve talk about a surprisingly excellent movie: The Frozen Ground (2013). Based on a true story it tells the tale of Nic Cage hunting John Cusack. Seriously, this movie benefits from going to extreme lengths to film on location and depict actual events. Listen this week as we talk about this and more...such as Brie Larson and her alleged difficulty, us holding Ke$ha at gunpoint, and whether or not Vanessa Hudgens is any good...clearly, we're feminists? We also forget to bring it up, but there's a moose in this...enjoy!

Episode 68 - Joe
Sunday Jan 03, 2021
Sunday Jan 03, 2021
Okay I need to set the record straight right away: we apparently did the 2013 Nicolas Cage movies out of order. It should have gone The Frozen Ground, The Croods, then Joe. Either way, we we're back on track by watching Joe (2013), which was another out-of-nowhere surprisingly good film. This podcast, and honestly this whole movie, rightfully focuses a lot on a brilliant supporting actor - the late Gary Poulter. Enjoy as we discuss the last good flick we will watch for a long time...
